GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Southeast Polynesia (Cooks - Societies)

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native, Endemic of se.Polynesia; S.Group - widespread; Land, lowland forests

KEY FEATURES: Garrett (1881) notes it is like Lamellidea pusilla (his Tornatellina nitida) except it has flatter and bidentate columella; parietal lamina larger and more oblique.

SYNONYMS: [Cooke & Kondo 1960:146-149 had Tubuaia perplexa (Garrett, 1879) as endemic of Rurutu and Rimatara. Fred Brook (email 29/12/2005) suggests that Garret's Cook Islands perplexa records might be Laminellidea pusilla - specimens need checking!]
