General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Southeast Polynesia (Cooks, Australs, Societies, Makatea, Marquesas)

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native, Endemic of se.Polynesia; S.Group only (widespread - location on Rarotonga unknown but found at 300ft on Mo‘orea); Land, makatea and low inland; cryptogenic, under rotting wood and decaying leaves

KEY FEATURES: Spiralled hemispherical shell, 4.0x2.5mm(Ø xH). SHELL light horn, highly polished; outer whorl obtusely angled (especially in young); columella inturned obscuring 65% of superficial perforation (15x in shell Ø). ANIMAL whitish; dusky head head and tentacles.
