SYNONYMS: Microcystis samoensis (Mousson, 1865); Nanina samoensis Mousson, 1865; Helix striolata Pease, 186) [name invalid, preoccupied]; Liardetia (Liardetia) striolata (Pease, 1860)

Vouchers:
Rarotonga: specimens, report 1881 Garrett, as Microcystis samoensis, very abundant under wood and stones in forest near the shore; specimens, 2005/10, Fred Brook as Liardetia samoensis, very rare in coastal forest remnants, "evidently in decline and is threatened by coastal development" in report 2005/11.
