General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE ? - Cooks - ?

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Land, coastal to Cloud Zone, forests; on tree trunks and under debris

KEY FEATURES: Very small, ~5mmL and nearly as wide. Pyramid-like, rapidly tapering spire, apex sharp. Dull grey-brown. Animal mainly hidden; tentacles 2, short, eye at base.

More Information

IDENTIFICATION: Very small, to 5mmL x 4mmØ. Pyramid-like, dull grey-brown. SPIRE moderate, tapering rapidly, apex sharp; SUTURE narrow, w lip on lower edge. MAIN WHORL with low central spiral ridge, and low inner spiral ridge from umbilicus rim. MOUTH lip not curled, without any teeth, without inner ridges. ridges. LIVE ANIMAL mainly hidden, short sensory tentacles with eye at each base.
