GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE west of Marshalls; EXOTIC EXOTIC Micronesia - S.Pacific (? - Fiji - Mangareva, Hawai‘i)

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Polynesian, naturalised OR Native; S.Group - widespread; N.Group ?; Land

KEY FEATURES: Small snail with turret-like shell.

SIMILAR SPECIES: Lamellidea oblonga has Ø:L = 1:2.5 (vs 1:2).

Mangaia: specimens, reported 1881 Garrett, as Tornatellina serrata, Tornatellina nitida & Tornatellina conica, "not uncommon ... forests near sea-shore" and listed for Rarotonga, Mangaia, Atiu, & Aitutaki. Atiu: specimens, reported 1881 Garrett, as Tornatellina serrata, Tornatellina nitida & Tornatellina conica, "not uncommon ... forests near sea-shore" and listed for Rarotonga, Mangaia, Atiu, & Aitutaki.
