GENERAL NOTE: Cooke & Kondo (1960:207) suggest Lamellidea oblonga is native of Cook or Austral Islands and transported by the Polynesians with food plants to other parts of Polynesia, westward to Samoa and Tonga, and eastward to Societies and Marquesas; along with Tornatellides oblongus.

Mangaia: specimens, reported 1881 Garrett, as Tornatellina oblonga, listed for Rarotonga, Mangaia, Atiu, & Aitutaki. Atiu: specimens, reported 1881 Garrett, as Tornatellina oblonga, listed for Rarotonga, Mangaia, Atiu, & Aitutaki. Mitiaro: specimens, 1994, one under a Coconut Palm & one at inland pool J.Craig, as Lamellidea oblonga.
