COMMON NAMES: Nigra Scale

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Naturalised; Land, horticultural

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: ; Pest

KEY FEATURES: A shiny dark brown to black scale to 4mm with a smooth surface. Young adults are light brown. All are females - they reproduce by parthenogenesis.
