POSITIVE SIGNIFICANCE: Biocontrol - released 1940.. Comments: Accidental introduction as part of a 1940 shipment from Suva, Fiji supposed to consist of Plaesius javanus. (W&D79).

GENERAL NOTE: ?Predator on the Banana weevil borer.
